The Faculty of Socio-Cultural Service and Tourism of SSAU hosted the XI International Scientific and Practical Conference "Innovative Aspects of Service and Tourism Development" for scientists, practitioners, graduate students, undergraduates and students. The event is in line with the objectives of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry".
During the plenary session, 10 reports of foreign participants and 15 Russian scientists were heard. In particular, the conference participants discussed current trends in the development of tourism in rural areas of the regions of the Russian Federation, active measures of state support, the tasks of improving the quality of service for vacationers, as well as issues of digital accessibility of tourism products. Design solutions were proposed for the sustainable development of tourism in rural areas of the region, contributing to the development of domestic tourism in the context of external sanctions pressure and the post-COVID period.
An important contribution to the development of rural areas of the Stavropol Karya was the developed cluster concept of economic diversification with a step-by-step action plan for the municipalities of the region. As successful examples of interaction with industry partners, cases on the development of rural tourism in the Izobilnensky, Aleksandrovsky and Predgorny districts are given. Also, during the meeting, the future of mutual projects on GIS technologies was discussed with the Sevastopol branch of the PRUE. G.V. Plekhanov, determined the directions for further scientific work on the study of the region's tourist porter with enterprises in the tourism industry, in particular, with the partner AllianceExpoTour. As a result of the discussion, the main tourism trends were identified, which predetermined the priority areas of the faculty's activities.
“This event is a successful example of the intersection of the interests of business, government and science, which is possible precisely at the Stavropol State Agrarian University, whose faculty is able to work out solutions to the problems of tourism development in the context of global changes and recent challenges,” said Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation work, doctor of economic sciences, professor Alexey Bobryshev.
The conference was attended by 142 representatives of 26 universities and educational organizations from Russia, China, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Serbia. The materials of the conference are formed into a separate collection "First steps in science: scientific research of young scientists, graduate students, undergraduates, students." The event was moderated by the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Cultural Services and Tourism, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Anna Ivolga.
