A student of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, 1st year undergraduate Azamat Makiyev took 3rd place in the Championship of the North Caucasus Federal District of the Russian Federation in weightlifting.
The championship was held in the city of Tyrnyauz of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. 73 athletes from 5 regions and republics of the North Caucasus took part. Azamat Makiyev took 3rd place in the 109 kg weight category. The result in the sum of the biathlon - snatch and clean and jerk - was 310 kg.
The athlete was trained by the teacher of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Elena Nesmiyanova.
