Regional competition in financial literacy was held at SSAU

As part of the IX All-Russian Financial Literacy Week, SSAU hosted a competition on the basics of reasonable financial behavior "OWN GAME". Students of secondary vocational education from various educational institutions of the Stavropol Territory took part in the intellectual game.

In total, 10 teams from the Stavropol Territory met on the site of the Entrepreneurial Boiling Point, 2 of which were teams from the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. The game included 3 rounds, during which students answered questions on personal financial planning, savings, loans, insurance, bank cards and taxation.

— Adolescents and youth are the future active consumers of financial services. And we must teach them to be prudent with their personal funds, choose the right banking and insurance products, be able to defend their consumer rights, understand the importance of creating a financial safety cushion,” emphasized Nadezhda Gerasimenko, regional coordinator of the regional program on financial literacy of the population.

According to the results of all stages, the team "Financial BAT" of the Blagodarnensk Agrotechnical College became the winner in the educational and entertaining game. The silver pedestal was taken by the SBERBANK team of the Stavropol State Polytechnic College. The third place was taken by the Prof-IT team of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. The winners and prize-winners were awarded diplomas, memorable gifts and letters of thanks from educational institutions.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Finance of the Stavropol Territory together with the Department of Financial Management and Banking and the Business School "ABC of Money" of the youth technopark "SmartAgro" SSAU.
