SSAU hosted a round table on the work of employees of the Voroshilov Veterinary Institute during the Great Patriotic War
A patriotic event for students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources and students of the Faculty of Economics of the Stavropol State Agrarian University was organized on the eve of Victory Day.
As part of the round table, students, teachers of the Department of Philosophy and History, discussed the occupation of the city of Stavropol (Voroshilovsk) by the Nazi troops, which caused immeasurable damage to the population and economy of the region. Another central topic was the history of the Voroshilov Veterinary Institute and its staff, who became participants in the Great Patriotic War. We also talked about the heroic work of university students, who in just two months restored one of the institute's buildings destroyed during the war. For a more detailed immersion in the historical past, the staff of the scientific library prepared the book exhibition “Memory of the Fiery Years”, where memoirs, artistic documentary and poetic works about the war were presented, as well as the archive of the newspaper “For Agricultural Personnel”.
