Stavropol State Agrarian University footballers are the best in the Southern Federal District and the North Caucasus Federal District

The Stavropol State Agrarian University team won a striking victory in the tournament on mini-football held among the universities of SFD and North Caucasus Federal District. The competition was held from 3 to 8 April 2013 in Volgograd within the bounds of the all-Russian project "Mini-football to high schools." The best football teams fought for the right to represent the Football Federations Union of the SFD and the North Caucasus Federal District at the National Final to be held in Moscow in May.
The SSAU football-team coached by Vyacheslav Mozgovoy for 2 straight years has become the best in the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts. However hard other participants tried, however strong other competitors from 12 regions of two Federal Districts were, they failed to defeat the SSAU team.
In a subgroup our team won a victory over the ASTU team (Astrakhan) 3:1, and defeated ASU (Maikop) 5-2, with the CSU (Grozny) our team played a draw 0:0. In the semifinal, the Stavropol State Agrarian team defeated DSTU (Rostov) 3-0. The final game of the Stavropol State Agrarian University team with Volgograd State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports team ended 5-2 in favor of our University.
The project "Mini-football to high schools" developed by the Russian Football Union and the Association of mini-football in Russia aims at promotion the values of a healthy lifestyle among students.
