Meeting in honor of the Victory Day took place in the Stavropol state agrarian university

In a solemn and warm atmosphere at the Stavropol state agrarian university festive actions in honor of the Victory Day passed. Meeting was visited by unique guests: the real female legend, the only rest on all former Soviet Union chevalier of all the three classes of the Order of Glory Matryona Semyonovna Nozdracheva, Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Alekseevich Shchepakin.

The first who congratulated veterans were the soloists of country academic chorus of the staff of the university, having sung the songs of the war time. The meeting was opened by the rector of university, the corresponding member of Russian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev. Addressing to veterans, he noted that "we for many years after the war gather here. And this tradition never has to leave, it is defined forever".

The Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Alekseevich Shchepakin and the full chevalier of the Order of Glory Matryona Semyonovna Nozdracheva congratulated all students, teachers and guests on a holiday of the Great Victory.

The participant of the Battle of Stalingrad, the professor emeritus of the Stavropol state agrarian university Nestor Makarovich Shakhzadov, congratulated those present and wished to students of excellent study, the faculty of innovative projects, and the rector of university of inexhaustible energy.

The chairman of regional Veterans Council, the deputy of the Duma of Stavropol Krai, the chairman of the board of elders at the chairman of the Duma of Stavropol Krai Alexey Alekseevich Gonochenko thanked the university staff for worthy education of younger generation, and to youth he wished happy life and successes.

The veteran of the Great Patriotic War Peter Romanovich Markov emphasized that "this victory hardly, at the price of huge victims and dedicated work was given to our people. And today this holiday of the Victory notes the whole world".

The chairman of university and city council of veterans, the colonel Victor Aleksandrovich Kozachenkov urged all "to store the memory of this war in resignation, after all while the memory is live – the person is live".

Finishing the meeting, the rector of the Stavropol state agrarian university Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev addressed to all with a request to find veterans in the cities, in the villages and once again to express them gratitude, to remind for what they shed blood in the Great Patriotic War fights.

By tradition the gathered honored memory of the students and employees of the university who fell in battle by the moment of silence and assigned flowers to a stela-monument with names of the heroes who lost their lives in fights for the Homeland on fronts of the Great Patriotic War, of those who was brutally tortured and killed during occupation of the city. After an official part a reception with a festive entertainment was carried out for veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
