Difficult and hot topic was discussed in the student's center of civil and patriotic education "Patriot" on the last debate" Is nationalism the benefit? ".
Student representatives of all faculties of higher education institution were divided into two teams: "Experts" and "O.N.P." ("The only nation is the person"). The debate was carried out in 4 stages.
In the Experts team Julia Markelova and Valeriya Shuvayeva (the 2nd course of the Veterinary Medicine faculty), Vadim Masgutov and Mansur Halidov (the 1st course of Electrical power faculty), Victoria Kazakova (the 1st course of Registration and Financial faculty), Mikhail Rudnev (the 1st course of Agronomy faculty) took part. The student of the first course of Electrical power faculty Sergey Beglaryan became the captain.
In the team "O.N.P." Valery Mozzherin and Ivan Shaforost (the 1st course of Registration and Financial faculty), Ivan Skotarev and Vladimir Ishchenko (the 1st course of Electrical power faculty), Victoria Markarova and Anna Shadchneva (the 1st course of Economic faculty) entered. The captain – Alyona Zinovyeva, the student of the 1st course of the Plant Protection faculty.
At the first stage the teams presented the participants and their card. At the second stage participants had to protect positions pro or contra nationalism. At the following stage the teams had "cross fire", asking each other tricky questions and answering them. At the fourth stage the participants of the debate was surprised by jury. The jury prepared slides with various images and teams had to tell what this or that picture, appearing on the screen, means.
The jury included the Professor of Philosophy and History chair S. V. Janusz, associate Professors of philosophy and history S. P. Zolotaryov and N.A.Kants, the head of the educational work and social problems department T.I.Gunko, the manager of the History museum in the University O. N. Shmatko.
The winner was determined by the common results of the points gained for four stages- “O.N.P.” team.
The chair of Philosophy and history of our University assisted to the students in the organization and scientifically-methodical work in carrying out debate.
