Horse-racing competition on the SSAU rector’s Cup was held.

On May 28, 2013 in the SSAU passed annual traditional competition on a show-jumping on the SSAU rector’s Cup. Representatives of two teams took part: the SSAU was presented by trainees of the horse-racing school functioning at the university, one more team consisted of representatives of mounted police of Stavropol. Horseriders were obliged to pass the way in strict sequence and without mistakes. Horse’s refusal of overcoming of an obstacle or destroying it during jumping is claimed as fault. The speed of passing through the distance is important too.
The competitions were really spectacular and unpredictable. Horses suddenly stopped before barriers, dropped them at jumping, but fortitude helped riders to cope with a situation. On the general result of competitions the first place was taken by the representative of horse-racing school of the SSAU, the champion of Russia in 2012 in a show-jumping Isabella Kirilkina (horse "Triumph"), her result is 1 minute 20 seconds. On the second place was taken also by the representative of the SSAU team Victoria Demyanenko (horse "Meleoguz") with result 1 minute 22 seconds. Oksana Chabannaya got the third place (horse "Oracle"), her time is 1 minute 30 seconds.
Prizes to winners were awarded by the rector of the SSAU, the corresponding member of Russian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev. He congratulated riders and the audience on a great sports holiday and after that he declared the plans for reconstruction of horse-racing school. Sunny weather, the beautiful campus and gorgeous animals became a part of a holiday.
