The Bronze of the Universiade was won by the student of SSAU David Bedzhanyan.

The fourth-year student of Stavropol State Agrarian University David Bedzhanyan took the third place in competitions on weightlifting during the XXVII World Summer Universiade in Kazan.
David acted in weight category of 105 kg and gained in the whole of double-event 403 kg.
Having lifted in breakthrough the weight of 179 kg and 224 kg in a push, he won the bronze of the World Student's Championship.
Thus, the athletes of Stavropol State Agrarian University added three gold and one bronze medal to the the Russian national team’s collection during the World Student games in Kazan.
