Delegation of scientists from Belarus in Stavropol State Agrarian University

Stavropol State Agrarian University received a delegation of specialists and scientists in the field of animal husbandry, led by Vasily Nikolaevich Kazakevich, Vice-Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus. The guests visited faculties of technological management and veterinary medicine and found out more about the material and technical base of the faculties, genetic material of the North Caucasian wool and meat-type sheep breeds bred in experimental farm of the University, methods of the industry and assessment of the quality of wool using the OFDA - 2000.
Dean of the Faculty of Technological Management, Doctor of Biological Sciences M.I. Selionova, Head of the Chair of sheep, cattle and small livestock, Associate Professor N.I. Belik, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Professor V.A. Belyaev, Head of Research and Diagnostic and Therapeutic Veterinary Center, Doctor of Biology A. Yu. Krivoruchko, Director of Experimental farm E.D. Trukhachev and representative of the National Union of sheep breeders V.N. Serdyukov took part in the excursion and discussion of perspectives of further cooperation.
At the end of the visit Vasily Kazakevitch noted that the successful implementation of the program of development of sheep farming in Belarus requires importation of breeding stock of sheep from leading Russian regions, such as Stavropol region, and the use of modern technologies of sheep breeding.
