Social projects and initiatives of citizens from all the corners of Russia take part in competition for the National award "Civil Initiative". More than 50 initiatives arrived from Stavropol. Among them the authors of eight initiatives are students and teachers of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. As a result there were three initiatives: student of Economics faculty Anna Omelchenko "Training of elderly people to computer literacy", the student of Agronomy faculty Dmitryi Galda "From heart to heart" and the project of the student of the Registration and financial faculty Ekaterina Voytysheva "The streets are called by their names " got in the final.
The project manager told about problems of competition — the director, the honored worker of arts of Russia, the member of the Committee of civil initiatives Julius Gusman: "Problems of an award include search of new faces of modern civil society in Russia, unknown heroes of our time who have already appeared in city, region, area, republic. They are those people who do not like the present situation. They, on their own initiative, try to change something and already achieved concrete results or only start realizing that they conceived into practice. And they are worthy of knowing them in Russia. It will give the chance to believe in the forces not only to them, but also million others who only think about the destiny of civil society in Russia. The stereotype that in this country the initiative is punishable, has to be and can be broken".
