On January 15, 2014 in sports complex of the Stavropol state agrarian university the opening ceremony of the XIV sports competition of staff of our university took place.
With welcome speech the vice rector of the Stavropol SAU on training and educational work I. V. Atanov addressed to guests and participants of sports competition. In his speach he emphasized importance of sports for strengthening health, training of character, ability to achieve results. Ivan Vyacheslavovich wished to athletes memorable, interesting and emotional competitions. Further for guests of this holiday of sports the glorified group "Stylnye Shtuchki" performed.
The sports competition was solemnly opened by the flag raising under the anthem of the Russian Federation. Now till May nine teams will compete for the rank of the winner of sports competition in 15 kinds of sports, among them: streetball, volleyball, mini-football, table tennis, chess, darts, track and field athletics, kettlebell sports, arm sport, tourism.
The first match was in the first day. In subgroups men's basketball teams of all faculties met. Winners will be determined following the results of the second day of competiton.
