On March 18, 2014 in a hall of the Palace of children's creativity professionals and fans of sports, judges of beauty and health gathered. Guests of honor on regional review competition "The best trainer and the athlete 2013" became representatives of the city and regional authority, outstanding athletes and trainers of Stavropol Territory.
Among them and athletes of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. Their merits were noted too. So Anjelica Soldatkina became the winner in the nomination "The Best Athlete", the undergraduate of Agronomy faculty, and the certificate of the Honoured Master of Sports in Russian Federation was handed over to the student of the 5th course of Agronomy faculty David Bedzhanyan.
With special warmth it was spoken that day about the hero of the anniversary – the honored trainer of the USSR and Russia, the honourable citizen of Stavropol and the great friend of SSAU Vasilyi Skakun. On behalf of city administration the birthday man was congratulated by the Deputy head of administration Olga Kopeykina. Addressing to the hero of the anniversary, she noted that numerous world records, victories at competitions of the highest rank of Vasilyi Aleksandrovich were included in the sports chronicle as a striking example of skill, persistence and commitment. And its trainer's and public work helps to develop physical culture and mass sports, formation of healthy lifestyle not only in the city of Stavropol, but also in all region.
