On the basis of the Stavropol State Agrarian University with support of the regional Ministry of Education on March 22, 2014 the V Olympic Games of participants of Student's Production teams of Stavropol Krai took place. About six hundred pupils took part in competitions in 13 directions: plant breeder, technologist of animal husbandry, veterinarian, fruit grower and wine-grower, inventor and rationalizer, ecologist, vegetable grower, technologist of foodstuff, land surveyor, technician, electrician, landscaping, forestry specialist.
Main objective of the Olympic Games – identification and development of creative abilities and interest to research activity, identification of the most gifted pupils having strong knowledge of a course of comprehensive school; attraction of the maximum of graduates of rural schools in Agrarian Higher Education Institutions.
Most of all participants chose specialty "veterinarian" – 106 people, among the leading specialties "ecologist" – 74 persons, "the landscape designer" – 59 people, "plant breeder" – 58 people, "the inventor and the rationalizer" – 56 people.
Winners and prize-winners of the Olympic Games will be awarded by diplomas and recommended for further receipt in the Stavropol State Agrarian University in the target direction with the transfer privilege.
Movement of Student's production teams in July, 2014 will be 60 years old. Today successfully over 350 teams and school labor associations work. Movement covers about 50 thousand children.
