"UMNIK - 2014"

Young scientists and inventors were congratulated by the Deputy Prime Minister of Stavropol Territory Irina Kuvaldina, deputy chairman of the Duma of Stavropol Territory Lozovoy Viktor Ivanovich, chairman of Education and Science Department of the Duma of Stavropol Territory, Professor Lyudmila Kuzyakova, Minister of Education of Stavropol Territory Vasily Lyamin, Chief Specialist of the Fund of Supporting Small Enterprises in Science and Technology of the program UMNIK, tutor of North Caucasian Federal District Vyacheslav Demchenko (Moscow), chairman of the Council of Rectors of Stavropol Territory, the rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University Vladimir Trukhachev.

- You are the future of which we all dream. The country is in good hands! We believe that you will bring to life all that you have planned - appealed Irina Kuvaldina to the young scientists.

Vyacheslav Demchenko wished the winners not to stop on what they have achieved: - You all are the winners and we are proud of you! But it is too early to relax. Work, work and establish your own small business.

139 students and young scientists from leading universities of Stavropol Territory took part in "UMNIK - 2014". They presented to the jury scientific works on the following fields: information technology, medicine of the future, advanced materials and technologies for their development, new equipment, and biotechnology. The winners of the program "UMNIK" became 22 young scientists from the best universities of the Territory. All of them will receive 400,000 rubles for the implementation of their research.

Among the holders of the title "UMNIK - 2014" there are six students and young scientists of SSAU:

- Irina Fedorenko with the project "Development of environmental monitoring system based on integrated security alarm system"

- Ivan Kustarnikov, who developed the software and hardware control complex of working parts for differentiated introduction of mixed fertilizers,

- Anton Dudka with the project "Development of the unit for detecting stones hidden in the soil",

- Yulia Mandra with the project "Development of technology for monitoring environmental quality through the use of integrated biosensors and complex biodiagnostics"

- Anastasia Metlyaeva, developed the technology of obtaining sheep embryos by means of in vitro fertilization

- Roman Kolesnikov, who developed the optimal biological parameters of microflora content in indoor air for preventing microbial stress.

Twenty participants were awarded the title "UMNIK of Stavropol Territory". Among students and young scientists of SSAU the following ones were awarded:

- Peter Shalin ("Development of an operational cloud service “Cloudmemory” for the provision of public services")

- Roman Ivanov ("Development of the unit for magnetic treatment of potato tubers")

- Alexander Yanovsky ("Development of the cooling system on the basis nanodisperse magnetizable fluids")

- Dmitry Taranukha ("Development of a multifunction device for protection of a three-phase electric motor")

- Catherine Sedykh ("Innovative technology of preparing a new substrate for the cultivation of vegetables in greenhouses for low-volume technology").
