On May 5, 2014 City Council under the Chairman of the Duma of Stavropol Territory held on the basis of the Stavropol State Agrarian University meeting of "Round table " on theme " Student production teams in the Stavropol region : history and prospects of development ."

This year it is the 60th anniversary of formation of the first in the Stavropol region and throughout the Russian student's production team. It was established in the village Grigoropolisskaya of Novoaleksandrovsky District.

At the time, this event is glorified the village across the country. Movement has become one of the most popular youth projects. Over the years, it grew stronger and developed. In the Stavropol region the movement occurred in the 80s, when the region had more than 350 teams. Youth actively manifested itself in different directions of agriculture.

- With enthusiasm the children got into brigades, how they competed ! I remember the event when the whole class went to work on a dairy farm, - shared his memories the Head of Elder People Council Alexei Gonochenko .

Welcoming the participants of the meeting , Chairman of Regional Duma Yuri Belyi noted about the big role of student teams in the integration and education of youth , the formation of labor skills , love for the land . He expressed willingness to support initiatives aimed at developing SPT .

Today in the region, largely due to associates and enthusiasts of movement SPT operates 145 brigades. As before, the children are involved in agriculture, assisted in the repairing schools, working on their own experimental plots. Some teams manage to realize grown production and on this profit keep technique, do scientific work. Stavropol State Agrarian University has traditionally provided support for rallies and competitions, allowing identifying the best young professionals. The Rector of SSAU Vladimir Trukhachev noted that talented children get the opportunity to attend University on a budgetary basis, and after it they are guaranteed to get a job.

Participants of the «Round table" among the main problems identified absence of own land , where young people could express themselves in full force. In addition, for the further development and promotion of teams, you must create the legal framework.

In July 2014 the Stavropol Anniversary of All-Russian meeting of student production teams will be held. The part of the meeting will also be held on the basis of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.
