The Stavropol State Agrarian University actively participated from 16 to 17 May, 2014 at the 49th Regional Exhibition of breeding sheep and goats.
Exhibitors include innovations of scientists from SSAU, products SPO " Steviana " : dry leaf of stevia , herbal teas , as well as ornamental plants grown in a greenhouse of the Stavropol State Agrarian University , v.Demino .
During the official opening of the exhibition with the exposition of the Stavropol State Agrarian was acquainted by official delegation of the Government of Stavropol Territory , headed by Acting Governor Vladimir Vladimirov .
Head of the region congratulated everybody with the Day of Stavropol Territory , and noted that this holiday honoring breeders - industry workers , it is the visit-card of the region.
- Stavropol sheep breeding has great history and great potential . And today, we achieve new successes. Recently, the province registered a new breed of sheep breeding, dzhalginsky merino . This victory, as well as all the advances of Stavropol breeders - the result of work of enthusiastic and creative people who love their work and their native land , - said Vladimir Vladimirov .
Patent for dzhalginsky merino breed , incidentally, was received by the Professor of AgrarianUniversity , Academician Vasily Moroz.
According to the results of the exhibition the Stavropol State Agrarian University was awarded by thanks letter of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory for active participation in the 49th Regional Exhibition of breeding sheep and goats.
