Science for Youth: Youth scientific festival

Regional Youth Science Festival took place in Stavropol which was attended by over 1 000 young people of the region (scientists, innovators, teachers and professors of higher, secondary and primary of the Stavropol Region). The motto of the event is "Touch a Science". The festival was organized by the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of the Stavropol Region.

The program of the festival contains such events as exhibitions of educational institutions of the Stavropol Region, intellectual games, master-classes, open labs on various branches of science.

Traditionally the Stavropol State Agrarian University was one of the most active participants of the festival. It was presented by a great team of participants: winners of the program "UMNIK" and all-Russian Youth Exhibition of Scientific and Technical Creativity "NTTM” as well as the winners of the program "START", the program "UMNIK, START!" and many others.

Their developments presented the following participants:

- Ekaterina Sedykh, a post-graduate student of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources with the project "Innovative Technologies of the Substrate Preparation for Cultivation of Vegetable Crops in Greenhouses on Low-Volume Technologies";

Anastasia Miroshnikova, a post-graduate student of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with the project "Development of Modern Biologically- Safe Means of Disinfection Facilities for Agricultural Objects and Food Industry;

- Igor Devederkin, a postgraduate student of the Faculty of Electricity with the project “Synchronous Generator with Ferromagnetic Inserts for Wind Turbines Development”;

- Ekaterina Golovnitskaya, teacher-assistant of Automatics, Electronics and Metrology Department of the Faculty of Electricity with the project "Development of Intelligent Simulator for the Automatic Control Systems Study";

- Catherine Molotova and Tatyana Chernova, the students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with the project "New Comprehensive Ferrum Dextranase Drug in Veterinary Medicine Development";

- Kirill Falko, a student of the Faculty of Electricity with the project “Development of High-Speed Probe Resistance of Current-Carrying Circuit of Power Transformers".

The festival has become an interactive platform for the presentation of the youth projects aimed at the scientific-technical field of activities, with a perspective of their further development and promotion.
