The Rector handed MBA diplomas

October, 10 The Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, corresponding member of RAACS, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev handed the diplomas to the first group of graduates of the international program "Master of Business Administration in Agribusiness (MBA in Agribusiness)". Among those who received them, more than half are professional managers.

Awarding diplomas, Rector of SSAU Vladimir Trukhachev thanked the graduates of the program, as the pioneers: "You were the first who believed in the potential of the program, because you understood the need for new knowledge in order to answer the challenges of the time". Also Vladimir Ivanovich reminded that the program "Master of Business Administration in Agribusiness" is the only MBA program in the South of Russia.

"None of the new modern trend has walked away the Stavropol State Agrarian University, and therefore no wonder that the University is always in the leading position, " said the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Stavropol Region Sergey Ridniy, who came to congratulate the graduates of the program. He also added that obtaining additional education and training for established leaders is necessary for successful development of agriculture in the country.

The program "MBA in Agribusiness" is being implemented by the Stavropol State Agrarian University since June 2012 together with the International Association AgriMBA. This organization brings together scientists and specialists from universities and research institutions from several European countries working on issues of education and applied research in the agricultural sector.

The main partner of the Russian higher education institutions in implementing the program "MBA in Agribusiness" is the Wageningen University (the Netherlands). The teachers of this institution several times came to Stavropol to give classes for students. Among those who gave the lectures, were Dr. Wim Heiman, Vice-rector of Wageningen University Rud Hjurne, Professor of Management and Law Ingrid Higman, Drs. Aad van Tilburg and Anna Schakowska.

The specificity of the international program "MBA in Agribusiness" is that its basic educational modules linked with the master's programme of “ Industrial Management", prepared by the teachers of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, that also was learned by the students. Therefore, on 10 October they received from the hands of the Rector of the University, corresponding member of RAACS, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev another document on education - Master‘s Diploma of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

At present, another group of students is continuing their studies in SSAU on the international program "MBA in Agribusiness".
