The STGAU team won four gold medals at the European championship in power lifting which held from 25 to 26 October .
Among men, the winners were a student of the Agrobiology and Land Resources Faculty Nikolay Korshunov, the winner in the weight of 90kg, and a student of the Economical Faculty Dmitry Prachiv, being the best in the bench press. Both young men have also met the requirements for Masters of Sports.
A student of the Faculty of Socio-cultural Service and Tourism Tatiana Medvedeva took the leading position in the weight category of 60 kg.
The absolute champion of the championship among juniors was a graduate of the Faculty of Technological Management Hermine Karapetyan.
The coach of the University team is a lecturer of the Department of Physical Education and Sport Nina Mukhortova.
