On the eve of the World Children’s Day, which is celebrated annually on November, 20 - the day of the adoption of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of the Child - educational activities took place in all educational institutions of Stavropol Territory. One of the organizers and participants of these events was Stavropol State Agrarian University.
The series of events was opened with online lesson, which was held at the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of Stavropol region with the participation of specialists of the Ministry, the General Directorate of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in Stavropol Territory as well as the Commissioner of the Governor of the region on children’s rights, representatives of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Russia in Stavropol region, lawyer and notary chambers of the region. SSAU was represented by the head of the department of law N.V. Miroshnichenko. The event was held as a videoconference with the centers of distance education in all areas of the region.
On November, 20 in Stavropol State Agrarian University there also took place an event dedicated to the World Day of the Child. It was organized by teachers of the department of law for under-age students. It included lectures-presentations "Children of the world and their rights" (associate professor N.V. Miroshnichenko), "Labour rights of minors" (senior teacher O.V. Zhdanova), legal literacy campaign "Responsibility of minors and their legal representatives" (senior teacher D.S. Tokmakov), quiz "Do you know your rights?" (senior teacher O.V. Akhrameeva). In conclusion, the results of the contest of posters "Children's rights and their protection" were determined (associate professor I.F. Dedyukhina).
