Ekaterina Voytysheva won the Grand Prix of the national award "Student of the Year – 2014"

The student of the faculty of accounting and finance of Stavropol state agricultural university Ekaterina Voytysheva won the Grand Prix of the Russian national award "Student of the Year" the results of which were summed up in the evening on November 25 in Kazan. Besides the Grand Prix the winner also received the certificate of 200 thousand rubles. In addition, the decision was made that the winner of the Grand Prix of the award "Student of the Year" will have the right to participate in public councils of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and to represent students there within a year until the next competition.

In total about 400 applications from 45 regions of Russia were submitted for competition. Students competed in nine special nominations and also for the Grand Prix. High progress, lack of the academic debts and "breakthrough in some direction" were the main criteria of the assessment of participants.

Stavropol region was represented at the competition by nine participants, six of which study at Stavropol State Agrarian University. Our students fought for a victory in the nominations "Students’ leader of the year" (Ekaterina Svetlichnaya, the faculty of accounting and finance), "Public man of the year" (Alexey Martynov, the faculty of technological management), "Discovery of the year" (Darya Bukacheva, the faculty of economics), "Intelligence of the year" (Sergey Avilov, the faculty of farm mechanization), "The athlete of the year" (Ramazon Mirzoyev, the faculty of economics), "Grand Prix" (Ekaterina Voytysheva, the faculty of accounting and finance).

The Russian national award "Student of the Year" was organized within the all-Russian forum "Students’ Russia" in Kazan. At the All-Russian level it took place for the first time, earlier similar award was handed nine times in Tatarstan.

About 1.5 thousand students from 60 territorial subjects of the Russian Federation including ten representatives of SSAU participated in the forum "Students’ Russia".

The forum "Students’ Russia" was organized by the Russian youth union, ASO of Russia and Students’ league of Tatarstan with assistance of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the government of Tatarstan.
