For merits in the development of national education the department "Tourism and service" at Socio-cultural service and tourism faculty was awarded with the diploma and Certificate of Merit for winning in the contest of scientific and educational departments among Universities in the Russian Federation, conducted by the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. The competition is held under the auspices of the National Program "Gold fund of national science" (Moscow).
