80th scientific conference was dedicated to two great scientists of SSAU

On April 17, 2015 a plenary session of the 80th scientific and practical conference of Agrobiology and land resources, ecology and landscape architecture faculties was held.

Opening the conference the Dean, Professor A.N. Esaulko noted that 2015 was full of events: the anniversary of our University, and 70 years of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and the International Year of soils.

On the faculties it became a tradition to dedicate the annual scientific conference to outstanding personalities who worked at the university. This year is not exception and it is an event dedicated to two personalities in agricultural science N.M. Kurennoy and F.I. Bobryshev.

On April 17 the gallery of prominent scientists portraits was added with the portrait of Nicholay Mitrofanovich Kurennoy, a veteran of World War II, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist of Russia. The conference was attended by his relatives, his son - Ph.D., professor Valery Kurennoy - spoke about the life of the scientist, his personal qualities, brought a gift to the Faculty, the book "The Second Coming of canola and flax in the Stavropol region."

In 2015 it is marked 85 years since the birth of Fyodor Ivanovich Bobryshev, Doctor of agricultural sciences, professor, leading breeder, whose work is inextricably linked with the history of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. His student, Ph.D., Professor A.I. Voiskovoy talked about the life and work of the scientist.

Also during the conference, our strategic partners made presentations : Head of the analysis of the environment and long-term plans and programs of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Stavropol Territory Andrey Korovin; Head of the Department of Land Reclamation and Horticulture Department of Agriculture of Stavropol Territory Mikhail Andreyevich Dyrenko; Deputy Chairman of the Stavropol Territory on the food processing industry, trade and licensing Irina Ivanovna Vidinyova; Chief Expert of land management, land monitoring and cadastral valuation of Rosreestr in Stavropol Territory Svetlana Bocharnikova.

Conducting the 80th scientific and practical conference will continue at sessions of the departments.
