The project of the team "Stavropol eco-farm" of the Stavropol State Agrarian University entered the top ten finalists in intelligent business game "Beginning farmer". Team members – Oksana Skovorodkina, Vasil y Yushkov (Accounting and Finance Faculty), Sergey Krivosheev, Alona Gurueva, Igor Chernenko (Agrobiology and Land resources Faculty), Anastasia Galunina and Victoria Schvidkaya (Economics Faculty) presented the project "Construction of greenhouses for growing green leafy vegetables on a plot of 1000 sq m”. The essence of the project is in the production of import-substituting competitive level of production costs through the introduction of ecologically safe technologies of cultivation of leafy vegetables.
To prove their projects in Moscow 34 teams from agricultural universities and colleges of Russia have come. Their ideas for the development of private business in rural areas have already undergone a two-stage selection – first absentee regional stage, then a final face-to-face. Professional jury under the chairmanship of the State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Petrikov considered 68 works from 62 regions of the country. The Commission included experts from the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, RSSM, ACCOR, "Rosagroleasing", "Rosselkhozbank" and Russian Scientific Institute of Agriculture.
The event is organized by the Russian Union of rural youth, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and Federal Agency on Youth Affairs (Moscow).
