May 14, 2015, the staff of the Institute of additional professional education and the teachers of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Stavropol state agrarian university held a seminar with representatives of stations on animal disease control of the Territory and the teachers of Aleksandrovsky agricultural college. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the draft of the professional standard of a veterinary doctor’s assistant which is being developed at the higher education institution now.
The seminar which brought together 36 experts and teachers of the secondary professional educational institution was opened by the deputy director of Institute of additional professional education, associate professor Andrey Viktorovich Pankratov. He told about essence of the developed normative documents, their features and requirements imposed by public authorities of the Russian Federation to their development. The deputy dean o Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, associate professor Ivan Valentinovich Kireev informed the audience on contents of the prepared draft of the professional standard of a veterinary doctor’s assistant.
Representatives of the stations on animal diseases control and the teachers of Aleksandrovsky agricultural college made a number of amendments in completion of the document prepared by the teachers of the Stavropol state agrarian university. Their remarks will allow to concretize the labor functions, separate actions, abilities and knowledge necessary for the veterinary doctor’s assistant. The experts’ point of view was validated by concrete examples from practical activities of the stations on animal disease control of the Territory.
Soon the staff of the higher education institution plans to continue similar meetings with Aybolitami of the country. The draft of the professional standard will be also published on the website of the Stavropol state agrarian university.
The teachers of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the higher education institution have already developed the normative document aimed to regulate doctors’ activity for animals. After wide discussion in the professional environment, it was approved by the order of the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation.
The teachers of the Stavropol state agrarian university developed 17 professional standards for workers and specialists of the agricultural branch of the country.
