"Day of the gardener - 2015"

In the science-city of Michurinsk, Tambov region, there was held the jubilee 10th All-Russian exhibition "Day of the gardener - 2015", which was attended by members of the department of production and processing of food products from vegetable raw materials of SSAU - Head Elena Semenovna Romanenko and assistant Timur Soltanovich Aysanov. This exhibition is the main professional holiday of gardeners, scientists, breeders, technologists, processors of fruit and berries.

Michurinsk, celebrating this year its 380th anniversary, presented on the main town square the best scientific and technical developments in the field of horticulture, achievements of breeders of fruit crops, as well as the products of research institutions of gardening, agricultural firms and nurseries.

The event was opened by the Acting Head of Administration of Tambov region A.V. Nikitin. He noted in particular the priority of gardening, one of the important sectors of agriculture, in terms of import substitution which is now especially important. Further exhibitors continued their work in the scientific exhibition center of the science-city. And within the walls of Michurinsk State Agrarian University there was held a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Association of technology platform "Technology of food processing industry of AIC - healthy food", where the development of scientific and technological activity of the platform within the Eurasian Economic Union was discussed.

Employees of Stavropol State Agrarian University also took part in the International scientific and practical conference "Innovative technologies of healthy food" dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Vladimirovich Michurin, in the framework of which there were held major meetings in the following sections: "Biotechnology and greenhouses", "Technologies of healthy foods", "Engineering technology in horticulture."
