Concert devoted the 85th anniversary of the University

Stavropol State Agrarian University celebrated its 85 th anniversary. The concert started with the theatrical performance, illustrating key milestones from the history of the University.

Graduates of the SSAU – heads of agricultural enterprises came at the solemn meeting of theUniversity Academic Council. Among the guests there were also the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia E. V. Gromyko, Director of the Department of scientific and technological policy E. I. Metelkova, the Head of Economy and State Support for Agriculture Department A. A. Kutsenko, Director of Rural Development and Social Policy Department D. I. Toropov, Director of Plant-growing, Chemicalization and Plant Protection Department P. A. Chekmarev, the Governor of the Stavropol region Vladimir Vladimirov, deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation O. V. Timofeeva, O. M. Kozakov, V. I. Goncharov, Chairman of the Duma of Stavropol region Yu. V. Beliy , Metropolitan of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk Kirill.

"Your University has never been stopped developing in its history. You started out as a livestock Institute, then added new specialties and together with the development of the University has evolved our region. Today, 80% of the leadership of the region are graduates of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. The walls of the University should never be empty, they must be filled with intelligent students, competent and creative teachers. Never stop, always go forward!", - congratulated the Agrarian University Governor Vladimir Vladimirov.

Next speaker was the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia E. V. Gromyko: "Stavropol State Agrarian University, like all universities of the Ministry of agriculture has a noble mission – to educate a new staff of leaders for agriculture. The current political situation gives the opportunity for the development of new technologies, approaches, conquest of new markets. And every agricultural University should be a kind of Scolkovo, Rusnano and Rostec in its region. The Stavropol Agrarian University has a great opportunity for that. Here is the most creative rector of the Agrarian University in Russia and if we create the all-Russian Agricultural Academy, I have no doubt who will be the rector".

All the other guests - representatives of authorities, heads of agricultural enterprises, rectors of agricultural universities and universities of the Stavropol region also have told many worm words, congratulating the University.

Foreign partners of the SSAU attended the ceremony as well. Among them were the delegations of Argentina, the Netherlands, Ireland, Slovakia, and the delegation of the UNEP (UN Environment Programme). The memoranda of cooperation with the delegations of UNEP and Argentina was signing.
