The Accounting and Finance Department hosted a forum "Insurance - Challenges of the Year"

October 5, 2015, the Stavropol State Agrarian University hosted a forum "Insurance - Challenges of the Year", dedicated to the celebration of the Day of the insurer.

Forum participants were ЗАО "Insurance group" UralSib ", represented by the Chief of the agency sales Oleg Cherkashina, CAO" ВСК "represented by the Director of the Center retail insurance Elena Merzlyakova.

The head of the Finance, Credit and Insurance Department, associate professor Irina Glotova greeted the participants of the forum who spoke about the importance and relevance of an insurer profession. She noted that a person who chooses an insurer profession should possess a number of personal and professional qualities. An ideal insurer should be workable, sociable, confident, purposeful, disciplined, responsible and initiative. It is also necessary to have a broad outlook, and the most important thing is to be able to convince. Therefore, the insurer can only be a person, confident in the correctness of the chosen profession, its benefits to others, in their knowledge, to be dynamic and ready to deal with difficulties.

The associate professor of the Finance, Credit and Insurance Department Sergei Shmatko said that the difficult macro-economic situation had changed the working conditions of the insurers. The rate of growth of insurance premiums have been declined. This year there is an unstable situation in the insurance market, and not only the market situation, but also the tightening of regulatory requirements provides an additional burden. As a result, the reduction in number of insurers takes place. But it, in turn, is pushing market participants to unite with and to find common solutions.

The Head of the agency sales of ЗАО "Insurance group" UralSib "Oleg Cherkashin devoted his speech to the innovative directions in the activities of insurance companies. He explained in detail the development of a new scheme of insurance products by the example of ЗАО "Insurance group "UralSib", outlined the conditions necessary for the effective implementation of a new insurance product that is needed to improve the innovation policy of an enterprise.

The specialist of the insurance company concludes that the innovative directions in insurance business are actual directions at the present stage and play a great role, so profits of the company insurance fund are being increased, the work of the insurance company is being improved, which increases the reputation by means of increasing the number of policyholders.

The head of the Center retail insurance CAO "FAC" Elena Merzlyakova helped students understand the basic concepts of life insurance, its differences from other financial instruments, and told cases of its application.

The forum participants were presented a video presentation about the celebration history of the Day of the insurer in Russia. In Russia, this professional holiday has been celebrated since the 6th of October 1921, when "Decree on State property insurance" was adopted. The Day of the insurer is not a state holiday, but has a great social significance. The better the country's development of the insurance system is, the higher the level of the country development and safer people's life are.

The performances of forum participants were held in a constructive spirit. The participants actively discussed the current problems and prospects of insurance development in Russia, looked for solutions, and shared their experiences.
