All-Russian exam in financial literacy in Stavropol State Agrarian University has launched the All-Russian Week of savings

On October 23, 2015 on the basis of Stavropol State Agrarian University there was held the All-Russian exam in financial literacy in the framework of the All-Russian Week of savings. The event brings together 30 regions of the country.

Exam is a simple tool to assess the level of knowledge and practical skills necessary for effective management of personal finances. Russian exam in Financial Literacy was held at two venues. It was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Stavropol Territory, Minister of Finance of Stavropol Territory Larisa Kalinchenko; Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance of SSAU Elena Kostyukova; Dean of the Faculty of Economics of SSAU Olga Kusakina; Olympic champion, Honored Master of Sports of Russia in handball, Minister of Physical Education and Sports of Stavropol Territory Igor Lavrov; Head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia for Stavropol Territory Vladimir Voronkov; Actor of Stavropol Order "Badge of Honor" of Academic Drama Theater named after M. Lermontov, Honorary Worker of Arts of Stavropol region, Igor Bartash; Director of the State TV and Radio Company "Stavropol" Ilya Kanavin; General Director of TV "STV 24 Vlada Garmider; Director of Stavropol regional branch of JSC "Rosselkhozbank" Alexei Senokosov; correspondent of the publishing house "Komsomolskaya Pravda" in the North Caucasus "Marina Tovkaneva; political scientist and columnist for "Open newspaper" Anton Chablin; correspondent of the news agency "Yuga.ru" Yaroslav Rasputin; students of Stavropol State Agrarian University.

Moderators of the nationwide financial literacy exam were vice-rector for additional education of SSAU Olga Lisova, Head of the department of Financial Management and Banking Julia Sklyarova and Associate Professor of the department of Financial Management and Banking Elena Lapina.

The events of the Week will be attended by some 1.5 million Russians. In addition to the extensive program of classroom activities, citizens will be provided with a variety of opportunities for remote learning. The Week is held in the framework of the Project of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation "Support to improve the financial literacy of the population and the development of financial education in the Russian Federation."
